Meet Clawdeen

Get ready for another terror-rific post. All puns in this post are intentional and necessary, given the subject matter. Anyways, this is Clawdeen, one of my, I mean my girls', favourite Monster High dolls. She is the daughter of the Werewolf. Yes, the whole series is very cool.

My eldest, Angelica has loved drawing since she was little, and her favourite subject is girls. At one stage, it was her own rendition of what girls looked like, and I have hundreds of scraps with her childlike drawings.

Then she took a liking to the doe-eyed girls in manga drawings, and so she started a whole slew of girl drawings with unusually large eyes. That phase sort of coincided with my non-blogging phase, so it doesn't show here (sorry!) But I have do have the whole stash of the manga girls drawings, so I may yet photograph them.

With these Monster High girls, she is exploring a new way of drawing girls, who are anything but conventional, with fangs and wolf ears and blood permanently staining their cheeks. Every time she starts to draw one, she warns me, 'They're not going to be pretty, Mommy!"

That's the whole point.

Note: As it happens, Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura and Frankie Stein are the Monster High Original Favourites. Of the three in this post, however, only Clawdeen is wearing the Original Favourites Outfit, which shows them on their first day at school. Draculaura and Frankie are wearing outfits from other lines.

Note: For those uninitiated, GFFs stands for Ghoul Friends Forever.
