...new bowls make me very very happy!
If you knew me, say, 15 years ago, you'd be meeting a rather sullen uni student, who had no skill whatsoever for keeping a home properly, who was more than happy to eat off plates she got free with the tube of toothpaste, who never bothered to fold her laundry and always grabbed her clothes from a growing pile of laundered clothes off the bedroom floor. On second thoughts, it's good that you didn't know me back then.
Now, I still fall back occasionally on my no-folding habit when it comes to laundry, though I make a super-human effort to have my wardrobe in some semblance of order. Just the other day, I bought six tubes of toothpaste just because they came with three pretty bowls, but these REALLY were pretty, not the tacky ones I used to have.
BUT, the one progress I hope I've made is that I am now at least able to keep a decent home. I am always on the lookout for fantastic furniture and statement pieces to personalise my space. My kitchen is my sanctuary, which I designed from scratch and is the most practical space in my entire house. It's my pride and joy.
So, today, when I saw these bamboo bowls, they made me very happy indeed! The natural grain of the bamboo is so organic and beautiful. They'll add to my kitchen very nicely.
