Saturday morning breakfast

Breakfast has been rushed affairs lately because 1. I've been waking up later, leaving a very teeny window to cook. 2. Kids are getting hungrier faster, which means I don't have the luxury of taking pictures of the things I make (I have to eat NOW, Mommy! I am VERY hungry!)

Last Saturday, I cheated with these...
... chewy bagel-like buns from Sibu, called kompia. Only the size of my palm, they are simple little snacks that have the right amount of crunch and chew, being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Occasionally, when my parents come to visit, they'll bring out a couple dozens of these childhood goodies. Whatever we cannot finish goes in a ziplock bag into the freezer. Come eating time, they are popped into the toaster and an easy snack/breakfast is ready in minutes. I always eat them plain, but sometimes I will slather on cream cheese and jam for the kids.
Whatever's easiest, baby!
