Beach babes!

I know I said all sewing is on hold...but this was made before all the holiday/falling sick/work madness. I'm planning a little beach vacation for the girls because Angelica has been hankering for the ocean ever since we went on one last year. Every time we walk by plastic shovels and spades in the toy store, she would ask me when she could go to the beach again.

I thought it would be really cool if I made them playsuits for the beach, like little kids used to wear in the 50s.
Like this one.

Or this one.

Are these cute or what??

And how gorgeous are these?

These are too beautiful! I love the little green suit with the bonnet!

Ooh, maybe one for myself?

Don't tell you me don't love these!

Ok ok, let's not get too carried away. With my limited sewing ability, I had to modify (meaning disregard all) the patterns and make something simpler. And I mean SIMPLER. This is part of the outfit, a breezy sleeveless top in a vintage print.

It has matching knickers, which I have yet to photograph. More photos to come in the coming posts, when I can wrestle some time to myself. Stay tuned!
