For Lauren, I did a simple oatmeal breakfast: Creamy oats with oat bran and cinnamon (yum!) topped with frozen blueberries. These are fresh organic blueberries that I froze because the kids couldn't finish one punnet at a go. I just pop them in a Glad freezer bag and stick them in the freezer. Come mealtimes, I'll take a few out as the oats are cooking and leave them to thaw in a bowl. Once the oatmeal is done, I sprinkle oat bran and cinnamon on top and add the blueberries. Once I fold the steaming hot oatmeal over them, they thaw completely and are juicy and sweet.

For the two older kids, I gave them the breakfast of champions: fried egg on bread. Adults get the soy sauce version, but the kids will have to make do with plain eggs. What they don't know won't hurt them, and the thing that they don't know is soy sauce on egg on bread is da best! (Actually, Angel knows this. She refuses to touch her eggs without soy sauce. But don't tell my nephew!)
